CONDUCT:
By accepting a volunteer position with the City of Fort Myers
Edison-Ford Winter Estates we ask that you represent both
the City and the Edison-Ford Winter Estates in a professional
manner to the public. We maintain a very high standard
of service. Each volunteer position has special requirements
that will be relayed to you during your training period.
DRESS CODE:
Men: Pants or Shorts (Navy, Black or Khaki)
White Shirt
or Volunteer Shirt
Nametag
Ladies: Pants, Shorts or Skirts (Navy, Black or Khaki)
White
Shirt or Volunteer Shirt
Nametag
NOTE: Please be sure and wear your nametag. This
alerts security and staff members that you are able to
pass
through restricted areas.
TARDINESS/NO SHOW
You are expected to be prompt at all
times. Three consecutive unexcused absences will be considered
resignation. If
you are going to be late or not able to work your shift,
please call your assigned Job Supervisor or the Volunteer
Office.
VOLUNTEER HOURS
Please sign-in when you report for your
assignment in the main office at the volunteer station
in the sign-in
book.
EMERGENCY INFORMATION
On the Volunteer Application you
were asked to provide an Emergency Contact. If that name
and/or phone number
changes, please call the Volunteer Office at 461-2686
with the new information.
SEASONAL VOLUNTEERS
If you are a seasonal volunteer please,
be sure when you call the Volunteer Office at 461-2686
to inform them
of your departure and arrival dates, and the address
where you would like us to mail your newsletter and information.
NEWSLETTER
Each month you will receive a copy of the
Volunteer View, a newsletter designed to keep you informed
about volunteer opportunities, volunteer hours, volunteer
birthdays and any other important information volunteers
need to know at the estates.
RESIGNING
When you are ready
to terminate your volunteer position, for whatever reason,
please call the Volunteer Office at 461-2686 so we may
close your file. If no hours are recorded under your
name for one year, your file will be closed.
