Weddings at the Estates
From the simplest ceremony to an elegant reception, the Estates can accommodate you to make sure your wedding is everything you dreamed it would be. The beautiful and tropical landscape of the Estates will make the memories of your special day last forever. Guests will be surrounded by royal palms, historic bamboo, orchids, and other tropical plants that create the perfect ambiance for a wedding.
The Estates offer several outdoor site locations including the historic winter residence of legendary automobile maker, Henry Ford, friend and neighbor of inventor Thomas Edison. Mr. Ford’s beautiful two story home with large covered porches was built in 1911. The recently restored house is situated on 3 ½ acres of prime waterfront property with a spectacular view of the Caloosahatchee River.
Mina’s Moonlight Garden provides an intimate, romantic setting filled with fragrant flowers and tall, bougainvillea-entwined trellises for photo opportunities and gatherings of ten or less.
The Edison Caretaker’s House provides a quaint indoor space with porches and gardens reflecting the charm of historic Southwest Florida.
Ceremony Packages
Daytime ceremonies are available for 2 hours between 9am and 3pm and can be performed in the following locations:
Edison’s Coconut Grove (up to 200 guests)
Royal Palm Alleé (up to 100 guests)
Ford’s Event Lawn (up to 200 guests)
Ford’s Riverside Lawn (up to 200 guests)
Evening ceremonies are available for 2 hours between 4pm and 8pm and can be performed in the following locations:
Mina’s Moonlight Garden (up to 30 guests)
Caretaker’s Lawn (up to 50 guests)
Edison’s Coconut Grove (up to 200 guests)
Royal Palm Alleé (up to 200 guests)
Ford’s Event Lawn (up to 250 guests)
Ford’s Riverside Lawn (up to 250 guests)
Ceremony packages include a one hour rehearsal the day before the wedding, the opportunity to take photographs throughout the property, complimentary passes for an educational experience at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates for your guests, an Events Staff member to coordinate and supervise your ceremony, as well as support staff.
Reception Packages
Daytime wedding receptions are scheduled for 4 hours between 9am and 3pm in the following locations:
Edison’s Coconut Grove (up to 200 guests)
Ford’s Riverside Lawn (up to 300 guests)
*Tents and dance floors are not permitted for daytime receptions.
Evening wedding receptions are scheduled for 4 hours between 5pm and 10pm in the following locations:
Caretaker’s House and Lawn (up to 100 guests)
Coconut Grove (up to 200 guests)
Ford’s Riverside Lawn (up to 500 guests)

Reception packages include the opportunity for a wedding ceremony and photographs, complimentary passes for an educational experience at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates for your guests, an Events Staff member to coordinate and supervise your event, as well as support staff.
Wedding Photography Package
This package gives the opportunity for you to have photographs taken for two hours at the Estates if you are being married elsewhere. Let the Estates provide the backdrop as you capture the memories of this wonderful time in the lives of you and your families.
Bridal Showers & Private Teas
Luncheons and teas at the Estates make bridal showers unique and special. The following locations are available for a 2 hour bridal shower between 9am and 5pm:
Caretaker’s House (up to 32 guests)
Edison’s Coconut Grove (up to 200 guests)
Ford’s Riverside Lawn (up to 300 guests)
